Jaromír Krejčí is an Egyptologist with archeological experience in Egypt. His long-term specialisation covers the problems of Egyptian archaelogy and history of the 3rd and 2nd millennia B.C., his interests include also the development of Egyptian, above all monumental, architecture, and the possibilities of its three-dimensional computer reconstructions. He has regularly taken part at archaological works in the A.R.E. since 1991, focusing above all on the exploration of structures on the royal cemetery at Abusir. Lately, he has been cooperating with Mgr. Dušan Magdolen, Ph.D. (Ústav orientalistiky SAV Bratislava) on the joint Czecho-Slovak project Sun Temples in the Old Kingdom.

1994: graduated in Egyptology and archaeology at the Faculty of Arts, Charles University

Excavations in Egypt:

since 1991, since 1994 he is the coordinator of the exploration of the royal pyramid necropolis at Abusir
